The Tokyo Foundation for Policy Research seeks to articulate the needs of private individuals and anticipate future developments in offering practicable and evidence-based policy proposals that can help build a public sphere supportive of personal freedom and dignity. Our activities are focused on delivering “people-centered policies” in a broad range of domains, including the economy and the environment, health and medical services, education, science and technology, and social digitalization. The Tokyo Foundation is also engaged in developing leaders around the globe through two fellowship programs – one for graduate students in the humanities and social sciences and another to foster experts in Japanese-language education – and in promoting understanding of Japan through the donation of select books.
