Programme Director

Dr. Lindsay Keir is the Programme Director for the G20 & G7 Health and Development Partnership. Originally a clinician scientist, Lindsay brings over 20 years of experience across clinical medicine, academic research, and strategic leadership in health policy, funding, and advocacy. Throughout her career, Lindsay has been driven by a determination to see scientific innovation and political commitment translate into real world impact for the people who need them most.

Her extensive background includes leading major international initiatives as a research funder at Wellcome, where she focused on life sciences and research and development funding. This included collaborating with the World Health Organization to advance global nutrition research and building a strategic portfolio aimed at making monoclonal antibodies more globally accessible. Following her time at Wellcome, she served as Director of Science and Policy at Impact Global Health, leading initiatives that tracked global investment into R&D for neglected diseases, pandemic preparedness, and women’s health, whilst demonstrating the tangible returns on those investments. She was also the lead architect and author of the 100 Days Mission Scorecard, a collaboration with the International Pandemic Preparedness Secretariat that has informed the G20 and several national pandemic preparedness and response strategies.

Lindsay’s career began in frontline medicine, working as a paediatrician and researcher specialising in children’s health, which provides her with a strong clinical foundation for translating medical science into actionable global policy.

At the G20 & G7 Health and Development Partnership, Lindsay oversees the delivery of strategic programmes, including major advocacy milestones surrounding the G7 and G20 presidencies, and the annual H20 Summit. In this role, she drives the partnership’s core work on sustainable health financing and engagement with global legislators to support the translation of global political mandates to national policy. In addition to her medical degrees, PhD and Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, she holds professional qualifications in Director level leadership and management from the Chartered Management Institute.
