Former Member of the European Parliament and Senior Advisor to Munich Security Conference
Mr Brok was a member of the European Parliament from 1980 – June 2019. In Sept 2019, he was appointed as special advisor to European Commission President Jean Claude Juncker on relations with Ukraine. Most recently he was Chairman of the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee (until 2017), member of the European Parliament’s Brexit Steering Group and member of the Constitutional Affairs Committee. He is a Member of the CDU Federal Board in Germany. Since 2018 Elmar is supporting the G20 Health and Development Partnership as a Global Ambassador by helping to leverage the Partnership’s messaging to the highest political agendas.
